Mr. Yurchik specialises in legal support for projects in the field of construction with a focus on oil & gas, chemistry, petrochemistry, and industrial projects. Valentin provides full-scope services in drafting and negotiating construction deals. His experience includes work with all key types of common law governed project documents: FEED, EPC, EP, EPCM, EPSS, technology license packages, etc. Valentin is ranked by the leading Russian individual ranking of Pravo-300 recommended lawyers in the category of infrastructure and PPP. In addition to this, Valentin is one of the authors of the first national standard for EPC projects.

- Advising the international investment group in regard to a project on construction of a methanol plant in Volgograd, including negotiations regarding EPC contract and licensing agreement;
- Representing the world-leading mining company within a project to expand a hydrometallurgy plant on the basis of the largest copper deposit in Russia, including drafting and negotiating FEED contracts and contracts for the engineering and fabrication of an autoclave;
- Advising RusChemAlliance (JV of Gazprom and RusGazDobycha) in relation to the legal aspects of a new integrated gas processing and LNG liquefaction project development in Ust-Luga, Russia;
- Representing LUKOIL in regard to the basic engineering agreement, technology licences, and catalyst supply agreements for a catalytic cracking plant in Russia;
- Representing the world-leading producer of phosphorus fertilisers in regard to EPC contract for the construction of an ammonium sulphate plant;
- Advising the sindicate of lenders within a project on consturction of a mining and refinery plant;
- Advising the producer of mineral fertilizers in regard to preparation of EP and EPC contracts within the investment program for the chemical plant expansion;
- Representing the syndicate of lenders on Hong Kong law-governed consortium agreement regarding financing and operating of the international fast neutron reactor construction and operation;
- Advising the world leading mining and steel company on EPC contract in relation to the construction of an oil pipes production factory;
- Advising the rail infrastructure owner and transport operator of the Russian railroad network on optimization of its contracting strategy and drafting EPC, EPCM and EPCF contracts for the holding’s major construction projects within its investment program.
