Sergey Alekhin is a Partner at E L W I’s dispute resolution and sanctions practice. Mr. Alekhin’s expertise includes commercial and investment arbitration (acting both for and against Sovereign States), and transborder disputes. Sergey was recognized as a “Future Leader” by the Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration (2023 and 2024) ranking. Sergey was also appointed by the Kyrgyz Republic to the ICSID panel of arbitrators.

- Successful representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in an ad hoc investment arbitration, National Center on Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan v. Kyrgyz Republic;
- Successful representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in an ad hoc investment arbitration, NK QazaqGaz v. Kyrgyz Republic;
- Successful representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in Valery Belokov v. Kyrgyz Republic (French Court of Cassation);
