Ekaterina Avtonova has been promoted to Managing Associate in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions. Ekaterina has extensive experience in challenging US, EU, UK, Swiss and Canadian sanctions, unblocking frozen assets, obtaining authorizations and licences, and advising on sanctions risks and mitigation. Ekaterina's expertise also includes international arbitrations under LCIA and HKIAC rules, disputes in foreign state courts, and handling troubled assets.

Experience

• Representing clients in disputes with foreign suppliers and contractors that arose as part of major construction projects, including international arbitration under the SCC, HKIAC and SIAC rules;
• Representing a number of large CIS companies in corporate, tort and contractual disputes in foreign courts and international arbitration;
• Representing CIS and international companies in contractual and tort disputes in Russian courts;
• Advising large international and CIS companies on sanctions risks and compliance relating to transactions and complex multi-jurisdictional projects, as well as asset restructuring, under the laws of various jurisdictions.
