Alexander Urlyapov possesses extensive experience advising major Russian companies on a wide range of legal matters. His expertise includes transactions involving the acquisition or sale of shares and property within the energy, aviation, and telecommunications sectors, including cross-border deals. Additionally, Alexander has advised on joint ventures in the energy sector, covering financing, corporate governance, and the negotiation and execution of financial transactions. He has also worked on creditor bank agreements, lessor arrangements, and financial restructuring issues. His experience extends to the acquisition and leasing of aircraft and helicopters for both commercial and private use, as well as legal and regulatory matters related to arbitration proceedings involving issuers and securities owners. Previously, Alexander worked in the Moscow offices of the international law firms Allen & Overy and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld.

Alexander has been rated in the international and Russian rankings (The Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in Russia) among leading Russian lawyers in the category of mergers and acquisitions. He has publications on issues of Russian law (securing obligations) in international scientific journals.

• Advising major Russian clients (LUKOIL, PJSC VimpelCom) on regulatory and other legal issues, major transactions with shares/stocks under Russian and foreign law;
• Advising LUKOIL on acquisition of Shell’s Russian business, including a chain of gas stations and a lubricants production plant;
• Advising a Russian investor on acquisition of majority stake in PJSC Enel Russia from Enel and a Russian investor;
• Advising on financing matters for a joint venture, including securing financing from the largest Russian banks to replace intra-corporate funding provided by participants ■ Advising PJSC «LUKOIL» on the establishment and corporate governance of joint ventures in the natural resources sector, including those formed in collaboration with international energy companies;
• Advising on a transaction involving the acquisition of refueling facilities and the establishment of a joint venture for the supply of aviation fuel and technical fluids at Russia's largest airport;
• Advising on various international sanctions issues in connection with regular international civil aviation flights;
• Advising the majority shareholder of UTair on matters related to the restructuring of bank financing transactions, as well as international and Russian financial and operational leasing of aircraft and helicopter fleets;
