We are pleased to announce the following promotions effective July 1:
- Valeriya Chernova has been appointed as a Partner in Corporate and M&A. The expertise of Valeriya includes advising on Russian and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and private equity deals, complex corporate restructurings, regulatory issues including receipt of regulatory clearances in accordance with merger control, FDI and special economic measures regulations, sanctions matters and special situations.
- Victoria Volgina has been promoted to Counsel in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions. Victoria specializes in international commercial arbitration, including disputes arising from major construction, industrial and infrastructure projects, as well as complex commercial disputes in Russia and abroad. She has considerable experience in international arbitrations under the SCC, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC rules.
- Anton Vologin has been promoted to Counsel in Banking & Finance. Anton specializes in banking and finance practice, project finance, restructuring, capital markets and special situations. His experience includes advising Russian and international lenders, borrowers, export credit agencies and international financial institutions.
- Georgy Shashero has been promoted to Counsel in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions. Georgy has significant experience in dispute resolution and specializes in domestic and international litigation, international arbitration, distressed assets, bankruptcy, restructuring, investigations, foreclosures in various jurisdictions and advising on sanctions matters.
- Ekaterina Avtonova has been promoted to Managing Associate in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions. Ekaterina has extensive experience in challenging US, EU, UK, Swiss and Canadian sanctions, unblocking frozen assets, obtaining authorizations and licences, and advising on sanctions risks and mitigation. Ekaterina's expertise also includes international arbitrations under LCIA and HKIAC rules, disputes in foreign state courts, and handling troubled assets.
- Aglaya Melnik has been promoted to Managing Associate in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions. Aglaya specializes in international investment arbitrations.
- Semyon Moskvichev has been promoted to Managing Associate in Banking & Finance. Semyon specializes in banking and finance, capital markets and corporate law and is also involved in construction transactions.
- Trainees Sofia Bikmulina and Maksim Makarov have been promoted to Associates in Corporate and M&A, Trainees Ivan Davydov and Maria Saldugey have been promoted to Associates in Dispute Resolution and Sanctions, and Trainee Danil Didyakin has been promoted to Associate in Banking & Finance.
